Illamasqua!!!
I think of Friday as fun, go lucky, be silly, it's the end of the typical work week, let your hair down...all at once.
You must be thinking - Is she silly? No, when you work hard the last thing you want to do is have a bothersome weekend. So, I'll say it again...Illamasqua!!!
While shopping in London's Westfield Shopping Centre last christmas, my HB and I popped into MAC so I could top up my makeup. At the checkout, this girl processing payment took my card and I was instantly hooked on the colour of her nails.
So I asked,
What are you wearing?
"Illamasqua" she said. http://www.illamasqua.com/
So I came home and Googled. The colour blew me away and since then, my Party Fridays are even more fun.
Starting your Party Friday is easier than you think. Even if it's just one new thing you add, ladies, it's always worth it. For me, Illamasqua represents my nails. In order for me to relax and enjoy myself, I must know that my nails will not put me to shame.
From a colour that pops to a moorish one, a nail must be buffed, polished and given colour along with a really wet look.
The best top coat I found that gives me this wet look is CND Super Shiney.
That's a photo...
When I see great photographs taken by talented photographers, it never ceases to impress me.
But when I see a dress that is bold in colour and matched perfectly with the right accessories, I can't help it but smile.
Jessica Alba maintains a super stunning look in this Coral dress only matched with the right accessories. I have a Monsoon Coral shrug matching colour type and I should probably say just now that if you don't have a Coral piece in your wardrobe, run yourself down to buy something fab!
I would love to see what pieces you've been inspired by Jessica's outfit.
So I was thinking of something 'marilyn1diva' appropriate for Orange Wednesdays - FILM NIGHT!!!
See what you think?
Loved this first time I saw this, it's a true cool clutch.
What I like about it - the colour scheme.
Just for the rest of all who don't know, it's the Chloe June clutch.
Always got to love shoe boots - I'm yet to find a fashion diva worth her 'marilyn1diva' creds who didn't love the shoe boot.
The colour on this Carvela pair is subtle yet packs a lot of statement. Price is affordable too.
So ladies, what do you think?
So it's Trendy Tuesday today as I like to call it. The term Trendy Tuesday started a few years ago while I was at university.
A group of friends and I decided to do something different with our Tuesdays and so we decided to take the time out to each select items of Fashion that we most love. Years on now, I spend my Trendy Tuesdays shopping the web - I love internet shopping!
So this Trendy Tuesday, I found this lovely lovely dress on www.asos.com and love love love it.
But I consider myself a smart intelligent entrepreneurial 28 year old who likes to keep integrity sane, noth boring, but respectable...so wait for it...here is my question...
Is this dress age and character appropirate...I hope the answer is yes because I really like it but if it's not, I'll know why :)
The specificity of where I'll be wearing this to is yet to be know exactly.
Last week I was in London, Knightsbridge shopping for champagne and a fresh custom made birthday cake from Harrods when I spotted these amazing trending high fashion shoes.
From the moment I put them on, I could feel my diva coming on. I couldn't leave the shop without these shoes that now have the 'marilyn1diva' approval.
The inspiration behind the shoes is my to-die-for boyfriend. He bought me this GORGE bag from one of my favourite designers - Karen Millen and so to do the limited edition Stripe bag the fair justice, I had to get it's own pair of diva shoes.
So I made my way to the counter and handed out the plastic.
So worth it.
And the reviews: From friends and colleagues to directors and newbies can't seem to get enough of the 'marilyn1diva' in my new diva shoes. Love it!
Pictures of the shoe to follow shortly. I thought I'd have it ready by now but it turns out there aren't that many hours in the day enough to be divalicious.
